MAKERS NIGHT, JULY 20, 4 P.M.

Seeing Differently: Unlocking Creativity with Blind Contour Drawing with Lorena Long

Join us for a Maker’s Night designed to help you see—and create—in new ways. Whether you're a visual artist or not, this relaxed, hands-on event invites you to slow down, observe deeply, and reconnect with your creative instincts through the playful practice of blind contour drawing.

All materials will be provided, and no previous drawing experience is necessary. Enjoy an inspiring evening of guided drawing exercises, live demonstrations, and light snacks. Bring a friend and be sure to RSVP! Child care for kids 5 and under will be available for a donation. Kids older than 5 are welcome to join in the making!

What is blind contour drawing?
It’s a simple, low-pressure technique where you draw an object without looking at your paper. By focusing only on what you see—not what you think you see—you’ll strengthen your hand-eye coordination, quiet your inner critic, and engage more directly with the present moment.

This practice isn’t just for visual artists. Creatives of all kinds can benefit from this powerful tool that taps into fundamental cognitive and imaginative processes.

Come curious, leave inspired.
This Maker’s Night is about exploration—not perfection.
